Endtroducing at 30….. DJ Shadow & The BBC Symphony Orchestra
The BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus are to perform with DJ and producer DJ Shadow at a one-night-only concert at London’s Barbican Hall on 18 December 2026.
Recorded for broadcast on BBC 6 Music, this special event marks the 30th anniversary of DJ Shadow’s groundbreaking debut album Endtroducing….. and sees him work with BBC Symphony Orchestra’s Creative Artist in Association Jules Buckley to realize his vision for a full orchestral version of the album.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential records of its era, Endtroducing….. helped redefine the art of sampling and electronic music. Three decades on, this concert offers audiences an unprecedented opportunity to experience Endtroducing….. in a completely new light, with DJ Shadow performing live on the decks alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, as its tracks are transformed through new orchestration.
DJ Shadow (Josh Davis) said: “Endtroducing….. has been an important part of my life for three decades and reinterpreting it with the BBC Symphony Orchestra opens up entirely new possibilities. I’m excited to share this music in a way audiences have never heard before.”

Bringing it to life with a full orchestra is a privilege and a thrilling creative challenge.” The BBC Symphony Orchestra’s partnership with Jules Buckley has already included acclaimed collaborations with artists including Jon Hopkins, Father John Misty, Paul Weller and Lianne La Havas, reflecting an ongoing interest in bringing different musical worlds together.
