Update: Live From The Shadowsphere

Posted Nov 1, 2010

The tour has been going GREAT so far! Shadow and the crew started up in Vancouver, BC for a fantastic show at the Commodore, and then traveled south to Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA; Las Vegas, NV; and then to Los Angeles, CA. Each show has provided a unique setting, a packed house, and every crowd has been extremely positive so far. Fans seems to love the one-of-a-kind experience of the Shadowsphere!

Shadow and the team are excited for the next 3 weeks of shows. If DJ Shadow is coming near your hometown, and you don't have tickets yet, act now before it is too late!

As always, you can buy tickets, add comments, and upload photos at the DJShadow.com/Tour show pages, and on the DJ Shadow iPhone App. Just click on the show you are attending (or the show you plan to attend). The comments and photos on the DJShadow.com show pages sync in real-time with the iPhone App!

What can I say, I've been a Shadow fan for 15 years. Grew up skating to this kats tunes and this was my 3rd time seeing him. The first time was at the Roseland Ballroom NYC circa 03 for the Live In Tune And On Time tour, and the last two times here in the Mile High city of Denver. Shadow's music has gotten me through many a bad day, and to this day I still love his music. Sorry to ramble, but I just wanted my fan status to be known. That being said, I was severely disappointed with the "Shadowsphere". Seriously, "cutting edge" visuals or not, it was like watching DJ Shadow performing inside a golf ball. And actual vinyl records were nowhere to be seen. I felt like I was at some cheesy ass rave. I'm all for artists progressing. I actually liked The Outsider, though a lot of heads didn't, but after the "shadowsphere". I will not be seeing DJ Shadow live ever again. We come to see you get busy on the decks, I miss the days of Shadow, Cut Chemist, and Numark pushing buttons. Perhaps I'm just getting old. Sure wish I had my $32.50 back.
