DJ Shadow In Los Angeles, 10/31/2009- CD & Download
Snippet:
Well, if you can't beat 'em...
Due to much demand, we are finally stocking this title, apparently recorded during Shadow's brief run of DJ dates near the end of last year. A fine recording it is, too, with Shadow in top form mixing all vinyl on 3 decks. The back cover references an amusing quote of Shadow's he recalls giving to a fan conducting an impromptu interview with their iPhone: "Here we are, in the Serato age, with access to millions of songs, and DJ's are still playing the same fifty over and over again...There's something wrong with that." Indeed!
So here, you get Shadow songs, electro, hip-hop, dubstep, new techno, drum & bass, heavy metal, and anything else Shadow felt like throwing in the stew, in a remarkably cohesive and adept mix which never fails to thrill and yes, challenge the listener.
Rather than sell the CD and download separately, you get both for the price of one...what a deal!

I think it was originally a bootleg, and Shadow liked it so he sold it himself...
Well let's be clear: is IT a bootleg or not? Because this is the exact same artworks than on many other websites where this came first under an obscure label. Why not making a "Hand Made" pressing of it? I feel like feeding the bootleggers right now...
