DJ Shadow: Preemptive Strike

This album was initially intended by Shadow to be limited to 20,000 copies in the US as a stopgap measure to protect against London/ffrr compiling a “Best Of” following the success of Endtroducing…thus the title, “Preemptive Strike.” According to Shadow, the label either ignored his request or accidentally allowed far greater quantities to be manufactured. Since the cow had already left the barn, Shadow later decided to allow its release worldwide. All of the material on this album appears elsewhere, mainly on UK singles.
